V: Horus - The Eye of Vision and Sovereignty

Horus, the falcon-headed god, embodies kingship, clarity, and higher vision. Known as Heru in ancient Kemet, he avenges his father, Osiris, protects the throne, and symbolises rightful power. His piercing eyes - one representing the sun, and the other the moon - see beyond illusion, illuminating the path of truth and destiny.

In myth, Horus is the son of Isis and Osiris, born in secrecy after his father’s death at the hands of Set, the god of chaos. Raised in hiding, he matures to challenge Set and reclaim the throne of Kemet. Their epic battle spans decades, marked by struggle, pain, and perseverance. Although Horus loses an eye in the fight, it is restored by Tehuti, the god of wisdom. This restored eye, known as the Eye of Horus, becomes a symbol of healing, protection, and spiritual insight.

Horus represents the triumphant spirit of the soul, reminding us of our divine birthright even in the midst of hardship. He teaches that leadership is earned through integrity, inner strength, and unwavering devotion to Ma’at. While Sekhmet burns through illusion, Horus pierces it with light - a steady gaze that reveals what must be done.
