Horus, the falcon-headed god, embodies kingship, clarity, and higher vision. Known as Heru in ancient Kemet, he avenges his father, Osiris, protects the throne, and symbolises rightful power. His piercing eyes - one representing the sun, and the other the moon - see beyond illusion, illuminating the path of truth and destiny.
In myth, Horus is the son of Isis and Osiris, born in secrecy after his father’s death at the hands of Set, the god of chaos. Raised in hiding, he matures to challenge Set and reclaim the throne of Kemet. Their epic battle spans decades, marked by struggle, pain, and perseverance. Although Horus loses an eye in the fight, it is restored by Tehuti, the god of wisdom. This restored eye, known as the Eye of Horus, becomes a symbol of healing, protection, and spiritual insight.
Horus represents the triumphant spirit of the soul, reminding us of our divine birthright even in the midst of hardship. He teaches that leadership is earned through integrity, inner strength, and unwavering devotion to Ma’at. While Sekhmet burns through illusion, Horus pierces it with light - a steady gaze that reveals what must be done.
For your journey, consider these questions:
Where in your life are you being called to rise into leadership?
Are you willing to face discomfort and opposition to stand in your truth?
What is your higher vision - and are you ready to claim it?
Horus is not merely a warrior - he is a guardian of order and balance. His power arises not from brute force, but from alignment with a greater truth. He embodies the stillness at the centre of chaos, and the falcon soaring above the storm. Calling upon Horus sharpens your focus and clears your perception, enabling you to see clearly - not just with your physical eyes, but with the eye of the soul.
He also serves as a reminder of the sacred wound - the pain we endure on the path to purpose. The eye he lost became more powerful when restored, symbolising how our greatest trials can transform into sources of wisdom and strength. What you reclaim after loss carries sacred power.
This week, meditate on Horus as the seer, the sovereign, and the soul warrior. Imagine his golden wings unfolding around you, lifting you above confusion and fear. Let his eye shine within you, illuminating the truth of your path. Know that you are supported by divine justice, and clarity will come when you choose to rise.

Having received guidance from Horus, we will welcome Ra, the radiant sun god and divine creator, next week.
He will teach us how to rise with purpose, illuminate our paths with clarity, and align with the power of sacred will.
